Hello everyone! My name is BreAnn Ford, and I am the Director here at First Steps Learning Center. I have over 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and have three beautiful daughters of my own. I was born in Louisiana but raised as a Texan! I believe Education is the key to success, and our little ones are the future. I bring love and passion to all my families and children in my care. I’m always here with a listening ear.
Hello families! My name is Deanna. I’m the assistant director at the location in Katy. I’m excited to be here at first steps and getting to know you guys. I was born in Houston and raised in Katy. I have been in childcare for 4 years. I started off in a classroom as an assistant teacher and worked my way up. Now, I am working on getting my CDA. My favorite thing about working with children is watching them learn and grow. I love seeing when their lightbulb goes off, and they get ideas or figure something out.
I look forward to serving our families and helping our children grow.

Hello, First Steps Families! I am so excited to be part of such a great school! I am originally from Staten Island, New York, and moved to Texas 14 years ago! I am a wife, a mother of 2, and a dog mom to a fur baby. I have always enjoyed working with kids, it definitely is my passion. I enjoy getting to know the students, and watching them grow physically, emotionally, and fundamentally is the best feeling!
I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my current families and those soon to come to our school! Together, we will build a community and a family-oriented culture at FSLC Barker Cypress!!

Hello, parents and students! My name is Elyce, I’m the assistant director here at First Steps Learning Center. I work with our fantastic team to provide leadership and positive guidance for the most fun and successful outcomes. I was born and raised in Houston Tx then moved to Katy Tx where I have resided ever since. I have been in childcare since the age of 16 when I started off as an infant teacher and progressed my way from there. I have 5-plus years of assistant director experience. I love my career, it excites me to know that I’m able to help your child succeed in life, prepare them for where they need to be and have them public school ready.
I look forward to gaining my director’s license sometime this coming year along with my CDA. I look forward to working with you all and will be throughout the center if you have any questions or concerns.
