At First Steps Learning Center, we have planned an unforgettable summer camp experience for your child. This year’s summer enrichment theme is “Wild About Summer.” With this fun-filled theme, summer campers will enjoy 12 weeks of fun and exciting activities. Along with our expertly curated learning programs, campers will also participate in 1-2 field trips a week.

A Quick Overview of Our Wild About Summer Camp Schedule and Activities

Endless fun, learning, and adventure await your child at First Steps Learning Center's Wild About Summer Camp.

Our child enrichment camp runs for 12 weeks from the end of May to mid-August. Each week has a different theme, giving campers a new and exciting learning experience every week.

A summer like no other. That’s what your child will experience at First Steps Learning Center’s Wild About Summer Camp. Over 12 weeks, our campers will dive into themed adventures packed with fun and educational activities. Whether it’s discovering nature, creating art, or solving challenges, every moment is designed to inspire creativity and build confidence. Weekly field trips also bring new and exciting adventures, keeping campers energized and engaged. Join us for a summer of growth, exploration, friendships, and lifelong memories.

Ignite Your Summer

We kick the summer off right with outdoor games, crafts, sports, and a variety of "get-to-know-you activities." The first week of camp is all about making new friends and getting to know our camp counselors. Your child will finish the week excited and ready for the weeks ahead.

Junior Ambassadors Camp

This week, campers will learn about kindness and standing up when they know something is wrong. There will be a strong focus on character building, making good choices, being a good friend, and how they can make a positive impact in their communities.

Bugs Don't Bug Me

Campers will learn about all sorts of little critters that patrol the ground we walk on. They will understand the purpose of bugs and insects in our ecosystem. This week is destined to be full of excitement, thrill, and chills.

Passport to the Wild

Join us for an action-packed adventure of discovering animals from all around the world. From South America to Australia, we'll discover the unique wildlife in each region and learn about their habitats and behaviors.

Artful Antics

This week, campers will learn about various artists and their mediums. They will use what they learn from these artists to create Father's Day crafts. This week will include painting, coloring, sketching, water coloring, and so much more.

We Love America/ Fun in the Sun

Celebrate America's birthday with us. Throughout the week, campers will learn what RED, WHITE, and BLUE stand for as they express what the flag means to them. It's going to be a patriotic and fun-filled week.

Water Works

This week, the campers will learn about water, where it comes from, and why it is important in their lives. They will learn about water safety, the physical properties of water, and its changing states. There will be plenty of water table activities like building pipe sprinklers.

First Steps Bakery

During this week, the campers will be busy baking at the Kids Unlimited Bakery Shop. From homemade cookies to ice cream, they will enjoy these delightful treats. They will learn to measure in cups, teaspoons, tablespoons, quarts, and gallons.

All Stars: Sports Week

Hit a home run this week in camp as we learn a variety of new and traditional sports. Campers may dress up as their favorite ball player and participate in tournaments, relays, and other games, allowing them to show off their athletic ability.

Under The Sea

Dive into learning about different sea animals, the importance of caring for the ocean, and understanding its different parts. Our campers will learn how to be protectors of the ocean and marine life.

Space is the Place

This week, campers will learn about the stars, planets, and the Milky Way galaxy. Campers may participate in a dress-up as an alien from a distant galaxy contest. This week is going to be out of this world.

Summer Camp Field Day

This week is filled with fun and exciting games and activities for your child. Campers may create a camp journal book recapping their summer camp experience. It's a great way to end the summer with memories and friendships made.

What skills or knowledge will my child gain from attending the Wild About Summer Camp?

Campers will develop social skills, creativity, teamwork, and independence. They’ll also learn specific knowledge tied to weekly themes, like understanding ecosystems, creating art, character building, and so much more.

We don’t take any chances when it comes to your child’s safety. First Steps Learning Center has a strict safety protocol in place for all activities, and our camp counselors are trained in child first aid and CPR. You can trust that your child will be well taken care of at all times.

The unique weekly themes, field trips, and variety of structured summer activities ensure campers never experience monotony. Our counselors also bring creativity and enthusiasm to every aspect of the program, making sure campers are always engaged and having fun.

From day one, our counselors lead icebreakers and team-building activities to create a welcoming atmosphere. We ensure every child has a role in group projects and encourage collaboration to build a sense of belonging. Campers should bring a backpack with sunscreen, a water bottle, comfortable walking shoes, and a change of clothes. Additional items may be required for certain activities or field trips, and parents will be notified in advance.
